Kampo
Kampo (漢方) in Japanese literally means “Chinese Method” or “Han Medicine” and specifically refers to the ancient classic texts of “Shanghan Lun” 傷寒論 (Treatise on Cold Damage) and “Jingui Yaolüe” 金匱要略 (Prescriptions from the Golden Cabinet) written by Zhang Zhong Jing 張仲景 during the Han Dynasty (202 BC-220 AD). These texts provide precise, comprehensive, and highly effective formulas that have stood the test of time. Notably, Kampo formulas are renowned for their lack of side effects.
On occasion, we may incorporate these traditional formulas alongside acupuncture, massage, and moxibustion treatments. This integration serves as an excellent complement to your acupuncture therapy, particularly for individuals who may face challenges attending clinic sessions regularly or reside overseas.
